Then you may enjoy “Ode to Billy Joe,” by Bobbie Gentry.

This is one of those strange songs that I listened to as a kid for the longest time before I understood what it was about.  I always liked it, but now I understand why it made me feel sad, too.

  1. Awesome blog! Do you have any suggestions for aspiring writers?

I’m planning to start my own website soon but I’m a
little lost on everything. Would you recommend starting with a free platform
like WordPress or go for a paid option? There are so many
choices out there that I’m completely overwhelmed .. Any tips? Thank you!

    1. It’s different for everyone- a great deal depends on what it is you want to get out of your site.
When I first started blogging, I wrote on Livejournal, but in time I eventually found that it just wasn’t doing what I wanted it to- I wanted to connect more to my readers, and to know that there were more people out there reading what I wrote. For that, WordPress was exactly what I was looking for.

Personally, I wouldn’t pay for web space for my blog right now, because I’m not trying to make money off of it, but if that is your goal, then the right thing for you might be to find a paid option. I would suggest trying a free host first to see what features and things you like to work with best, though.
